Thinking of ordering a map of the Hudson and do some boating there next summer. Would like input from folks that have been boating on it.

Thanks,
Mark.

Mark and Steve - I currently boat on the Hudson in the Newburgh Bay area above West Point. When I was a kid I spent many hours on the river in the Haverstraw Bay / Stony Point area. I love it on the river. The scenery just gets better and better as you head north through the Hudson Valley. If you like to fish - the Striped Bass run in May is excellent, and this time of year there are stripers and blues up to around the Tappan Zee area.

A great source of info can be found at:

http://www.boatingonthehudson.com

You can view past issues that have info on where to find gas, mooring, dining, etc.
