I'm wondering what to use to pull my tubes?? There are two semi-circle ringes connected to the back of my boat ('83 Ebbtide 18'), used for stapping the boat down. But, that's about it. Will this work?? Thanks!!

Won't be a problem especially if you use a bridle. Most older boats (pre wakeboard towers & poles) use those circle cleats for pulling toys.

Make sure the rope you buy floats and is a bright safety color. Most new tow ropes for tubes/wakeboards are bright yellow and float. It is worth it to have the right gear for the job. You don't want that rope to end up in your prop!

I have to agree with muskyone here.. pick up a tow bar. Yes, you're paying more.. but, they keep the tow rope UP and OUT of the water making the experience 110% better.. especially out of the hole.

All of the bridles I have float, I think it's pretty well a standard feature these days. You can also get bridles with multiple connections & quick release connections. I've seen 'stretchy' bridles for underpowered boats, gives a sort of slingshot effect, never tried one though.

They are only good if you like the rope low, ie: Tubing, slalom & barefooting and some people like it low for kneeboarding.

In 25 years I've never had a bridle get caught up in a prop, but I take due care!

Aldo

i'm not talking about getting cought in the prop the tiedowns that you hook the rope to are underwater on most bass boats so not sure how good it would work but like i said my boat came with a tow bar otherwise i would try the other way just my .2 worth
