Thanks for the feedback on the Traverse and Telluride. Probably would have been ok with either one but couldn't find any new or new enough with the packages (tow) I wanted. Ended up finding a very minty 2020 AWD Durango R/T with the Hemi and trailering package. 7200 lbs towing capacity. I think the previous owner worshipped this thing, not a scratch or scuff to be found, only 33k miles. IMG_0724.jpeg

You won't regret it, the Hemi & ZF 8 speed pulls like the Super Chief.
Don't listen to the nay sayers who seem to think you can ONLY tow a 20' boat with a full size pick up. Nonsense, the Durango or Grand Cherokee are more than capable, just make sure your tongue weight is right and the trailer brakes work. If you have any sag at the rear you can always add air bags in the rear coils.
And enjoy a nice riding vehicle that doesn't take up your whole driveway.
I towed 2 different 20' boats with my old '07 Grand Cherokee 5.7 and it doesn't even break a sweat.
2021 Chapparal SSI (brother's)
1988 Four Winns H200 (ours)
Don't know what the Chap weighs but my FW is about 5,000 lbs on the trailer. When we rebuilt it back in 2007 I guess we used a lot more 'glass than the factory lol.
I also towed the Chap with my brother's 2016 Range Rover Sport, with the 550 hp supercharged V8. Nice tow vehicle similar in size to the GC and Durango.

I have towed my ~5,200 lb. 25' with the Durango RT (2020, RWD) from Annapolis, MD to Marathon, FL and back last year, as well as from Annapolis, MD to Escanaba, MI and back this year. Get about 14 or 15 MPG towing at highway speeds of 65-70 MPH and have never felt unsafe trailering or retrieving. It's a great vehicle.

Now you need a bigger boat that more closely matches the towing capacity ... georgeous vehicle

Thanks! This one has the load leveling system with the towing package. I'm interested to see it work.
