I don't know about the rest of you but, I'm tried of this weather. Rain, thunder storms. Not ideal for boating. Has been this way for over a week. Time to get back on the water.
I know alot of people that would gladly trade places with you, we finnaly started getting rain again here in Indiana but it was way to late for most of the farmers, most of the corn up here is a total loss.
We have had a couple good days of rain lately but still way behind, the rivers and lakes were 2'-3' lower than normal.
Finally getting some much needed rain in Oklahoma this past weekend. It doesn't help with boating, but hopefully it will help relieve the state-wide burn ban and the wildfires all over the state.
It rained most of Saturday morning and then we had a break late in the afternoon. Loaded the wife and pooch on the toon and we headed out of the cove. Just as we rounded a bend and started heading West, we saw more serious looking clouds so we quickly turned around and headed back to the dock. Just finished tying up when the heavy rains started again. But Sunday was a great day -- calm winds and smooth water.
Been off work for 8 straight days and between the honeydo list and rain I have not been out fishing once. Sucks because I'm only about 2 miles from the ramp.
We could use some rain here in East Texas--But its a LOT better than last year, this time last year you could walk around in some of the spots we fish in
