i had the bearings in the drive replaced .
they had to pull the engine to replace one of the bearings, i was woundering if they did something,or didnt tighten down one of the bellows
on the drive ! i was sitting in the boat with the engine off trolling with my son. i turned the pump on and a ton of water came out. i did not use the engine all day. i had the work done a month ago on it, do you think they pinched one of them and put a hole in one?and do you think they will take the blame for it? i know the boat didnt take in any water before!and what should i look for to see if it is something i can fix myself before taking a 2 hour drive back to the dealer! thanks rich

Pretty scetchy post but I think I get it.You will need to determine where the leaks is coming from, and that means sitting back by that transom ,on your belly and really watching. That whole unit is sealed by big donut orings and if the torque is not correct, alignment is off or surface is not properly prepared, leaks will happen.Find out the source of the leak and then get mad or madder from there.

Filling up your bilge is not stupid at all as long as you do'nt get carried away.Do not fill it to anywhere near the starter motor and look carefully at the wireing harnesses in your bilge to avoid submerging any plug in connections or unsealed butt connectors.
