Wash off vinegar/water?

When preparing to paint an aluminum boat, after washing it with a 50/50 vinegar/water mix, are you supposed to wash off the vinegar/water mix or let it dry? I'm guessing you're supposed to rinse it off, but it's late and I'm prone to dumb questions.

You can let it dry.
