Good Afternoon Iboaters,
I am tracking down a fuel issue on a 2004 Crownline 250 CR with a VP 5.7 GX-E motor. Went out 3rd time after buying boat, ran aground, over heated boat, blew 3 tires on trailer on trip....classic boat day.
So on to my question:
1. got home charged batteries, tried to start, motor locked down
a. went through all the usual checks, determined it was fuel hydro lock on cylinder 2, tube from needle valve to intake stuck open pushing fuel into cylinder.
2. Rebuilt/cleaned fuel cooler
a. seems that float on needle valve still stuck open and pushing fuel into intake
b. ordered cheap Fuel cooler off Amazon to try, but rest assured I will carry extra parts
What purpose does that line from needle valve to intake serve, can I just block off and run?
Currently have line clamped off and boat runs fine.
