I have a Regal 2100 with the Penta engine. Each year, I get this light when starting up and it goes away. In some cases, this light comes back and usually its related to old gas so I put treatment in like Heet, additives etc.. and this normally goes away. However this year, this light keeps coming back intermittently. The boat runs great without any issues it seems when the light doesn't come on so I am stumped as to what may be causing this issue. Any insight? The serial is # is ISKA42. Engine Status - Read.PNG

That is the same as the check engine light in your car. Marine manufacturers refer to it as the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp). The ecm is detecting an engine fault and that is its way of letting the operator know there is an issue. Sometimes the fault is not critical and will not limit power but you need to have the ecm scanned for fault codes, its the only way to know what is causing the light to illuminate
