Some shift/throttle levers have an up/down button on the left side of the handle and the trailer botton on the right side so using the right thumb and forefinger squeeze both at the same time. Maximum RPM will help determine the right prop. Look here;
http://www.marinemechanic.com/specs/volvo3-4.htm.

For water skiing, I would go with a 17" pitch for better hole shot if your 19" seems a little slow off the start. Just be aware that you have a maximum recommended rpm and you shouldn't exceed it. It's 4600 rpm for my 1986 Cobra 3.0.

The "trim" switch is set up with a limit switch on the side of the drive. This limit switch prevents you from trimming the prop out of the water. You absolutely must have a "trailer" buttom somewhere.

On my 1989 Wellcraft it was on the throttle/shift lever mid way down the shaft. It was not a switch, it was a button. I've seen many others on the dash. It must be somewhere.

What is your RPMs and speed with the 19p prop at full throttle and how quick does the boat get out of the water?

the SX I dont think used a trailer switch. measure the ram when fully extended. it should be a few inches from the length of the cylinder. you may be low on fluid. or someone may have installed limityers in the rams for some reason. the drive wont trim up higher than the hull. is this a new problem>
good luck and keep posting

Thanks but thats the biggest problem the drive will not even trim to same level of the hull, it just trim to beach level so drive is still under hull, I'm also no low at fluid could be they installed limiters?
But how can i verify (thru wire colors i.e.) the drive is not limited by electrical switch and might be possible be trimmed higher?
