I have an 02 150 johnson that has a leaking vaccum switch causing surging at higher rpms. My question is can I safely plug the inlet hose to the switch and run the motor without doing any damage to the motor?
thanks for the quick reply it will just be for a few trips till i can figure out how hard it will be to install a new one. does anyone have any pointers for installing a vaccum switch? it looks kinda indepth on the diagram
Installing a new one/replacing the old is a very simple operation done in a minute or two.
ground lead, alarm lead, hose attachment with tie strap.
Look at the engine, not at the diagram.
