Have a 2001 dodge 2500 2wd v10 trying out a new lake today and the ramp was too steep so i got some guys to jump in the back and still no way.. now I had traction but the truck wouldn't go. finally it came out but is my torque converter going to be worn out now like a clutch?
I wont go back to that lake again and never have that problem on my usual ramp,

So long as you weren't stuck there long enough to overheat your transmission fluid you should be fine. Torque converters don't wear the same way clutches do. Getting started on a launch ramp is the only time I've ever thought it might be nice to have an automatic.

I just read up on torque converters, really interesting how they work. Thanks for the reply Titanium48.
