Hi ALL

Sorry for the short notice request. Got a guy collecting an outboard I am selling tomorrow and hes just asked if it has a drain plug to remove the 4 stroke oil (ie on the midesction like the mercs). Does it have one, where is it. Or do I have to suck it back out the way it went in

2006 50hp honda 4 stroke of course.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you don't have an owners manual. This instruction covers a different year, but should be similar.

Oil should be warm - will drain easier.

Remove hood and remove oil filler cap.

There should be a squarish hatch, about 2 x 2", held on by a screw on the rear of the upper leg.

Remove the screw and the hatch will fold down on its hinge.

Under the hatch, remove the drain plug and drain oil.

You should install a new sealing gasket on the drain plug.

Hope this helps.
