Universal Bimini tops

Hey guys

My 16 SS had the Bimini rails, and I can put them back on easy.
my boats an 84 and I’m wondering if anyone has put one of the ‘universal’ Biminis on their boats?
if so how well do they actually work and provide shade?

Most biminis, even OEM, are universal. Very few are fixed width and are adjustable about 6 inches in width.
