Unable to remove hose from P/S cooler

This is a winterization realted queston. I was unable disconnect the hose coming off the T stat housing down to the power steering cooler during prep. I just don't have enough room to maneuver myself to get enough leverage to get hose off down there. I poured a considerable amount of antifreeze down the hose at end where it attaches to T stat housing until it came out the outdrive drain holes. Will I be OK?

Engine make is a 1995 5.0 V8 4 barrel Mercruiser with Alpha 1

but if you had removed the drive to service that too for the winter, you could have just as easily blown some air thru the hose to clear it .
