Looking for a transom saver that will work with my boat/trailer. I've got a 85 hp force motor. The trailer transom savers won't work with my trailer as my first cross member is too far forward. I'm looking for something to better secure my motor as I don't like the idea of it being held up by a bolt and latch. I've had the bolt break once already going down the road and would like to not have that happen again. I've included pics of the trailer and motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm by no means and expert or even well versed in transom savers other than looking for one myself.

Looking at your pics all I can think of is 2 options.
Add a metal support to the trailer frame of possibly mount a bracket to the bottom of the transom which really defeats the purpose.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help.

How far forward is the cross-member from the stern? Some TS's have a bend for situations like yours.

Another thing is add a cross-member closer to the stern for a straight TS.

Welcome aboard.

The first cross member is just behind the tires

My transom saver is "close" to being in the same situation. When mounted, there is less than 1/2" of clearance between the saver and the boat transom. That clearance is even less if I don't have the boat lined up "exactly" on the trailer.

I've been considering adding an extension that would move the mounting point rearward about 4 inches or so. I can do that easily with angle iron and welding it onto the trailer. Son in law would be happy to do the welding, and I have the iron in the shop. Maybe this fall after this fishing season is complete.

Are those holes in your transom unplugged? Also your transducer is mounted wrong.

I was going to mention the transducer as well. It aimed off to the side instead of straight down. I know nothing about transom savers unfortunately.
