trailer wiring

I have a 2001 venture van, without a t conection.It has seperate tail signal and brake lites do I need a seven wire conection,or how do yopu get 4 wire to work I get signal and tail lights but no brake lights with a four wire now on the trailer

you must purchase an adapter module to go from a 3-wire to a 2-wire. See the dealer...
