Trac 45 anchor

Hi there, I am new to this and all forums, hope I do ok???
I have a trac big water 45 anchor winch that will not retrieve the anchor. I have opened the casing to expose the solenoid. When I hit the up button the gear dose not engage . Is this a solenoid issue or something differ?

I have a trac big water 45 that will not engage in order to pull up anchor. The solenoid spins the shaft it just will not engage the big gear….. is this a solenoid problem?

It could also be a damaged gear or a lubrication issue. Are you able to test the solenoid independently? Do you ever see it move?

Yes it operates good , it just will not slide over and engage the spool gear
