Worked at a Bayliner dealership.
They had sold a 29ft with twin I/O's
They were prepping it to put in the water.
They had it up in the slings to change trailers.
The new owner was all around and trying to get up in the boat and putting his nose everywhere.
I told him it wasn't a good idea to get u in the boat while it was in the slings. He didn't like it but stopped climbing.
Then I see him with his head under the swim platform checking out the paint job on the bottom and drives,
Again I tell this guy to maybe step back cause it's dangerous while in the slings.
He turns his head to say something about it's his boat and he's can check it out anytime he wants.
Just as he turns his head the rear strap lets go and the boat comes down and smacks him in the head with the swim platform. The boat didn't get hurt.
He didn't get hurt.Just his pride. The look on his face was priceless.Absolute TERROR!!!!
I said I told you to get back.
He started to say something and i noticed the front of his pants had a growing wet spot.
About then he turns and runs to the parking lot and gets in his car and leaves.
I told the boss about the accident and he says the guy's been nothing but a pain and hopes he doesn't come back.
He comes back an hour later with new pants and a NEW attitude.
Gave me a $100 tip for doing a great job on his new boat.
He tried to sue a month later but it didn't work.
Boats aren't made to fly so stay out from under them!!!
