So How many of you all, have started to pull out of your driveway with the tongue jack still in the down position? I seem to do it about once a year. I start pulling out of the driveway, and hear the sound, yup! did it again. I get out of the truck, look around, to see how many people where watching, and go back, and put the jack up. Then drive down the block, and just smile.

Been there, done that, broke the ratzakratza jack. After that I only used folding jacks and didn't do it again.

Mine is a folding Jack. I remember about ten or so years ago, making a folding jack out of one that wasnt, not intentionally:eek:

I have an alarm system so if I accidentally leave it down, it makes a noise when I start driving....

Huh!?! Mine must have that same system ...

how much did you pay for yours?
I have a different alarm for when I leave a safety chain still hooked up, too. It makes the same sound but adds a clunk at the end.

I like it when someone at the gas station notices and points it out. I usually tell them the trailor tongue weight is over my vehicle's capacity so I alleviate the weight with the tongue jack and that's why they have wheels on them.

LOL ... the alarm for my safety chains came with lights. It shoots these sparks out to tell the other drivers on the road to let me know to pull over. Both systems were completely free

Had to park the boat on the side lawn for a bit because I needed the driveway clear. Thanks to my tongue jack, which doesn't automatically raise when it senses forward motion ( :D ), I took a big ol' chunk o' lawn up when I took the boat out last week. Never heard it because it was on grass.

Good times.

Bah - that's on turf. Replace the divit and take a mulligan. No problem.

Captain S, if you would have repacked that wheel bearing, you might have got a little more even wear.:D

I've got the alarm system for the jack and chains but the warning system for the trailer wiring requires a police officer to pull me over for not having tail lights (blown fuse when the wires ripped out).

That's why I didn't feel the need to change mine either...

You think TSC would hook me up with a warranty replacement?? Hehehehe. "Umm, this one smokes, and I don't think the wheel was balanced properly because it thimps when it goes down the road."
