Any one have any insight on how to reset the 100 hour oil light that blinks on the tachometer for a 2020 Tohatsu MFS 60 ? I've tried following the procedure in the manual several times with no luck . Tried doing it with a timer also

turn key on wait for the beep to finish
pull lanyard
within 5-10 seconds pull red knob and release
wait 5-10 seconds pull red knob again and release
I'm not getting the 3 beeps like stated

The only thing I can see are the illustrations denoting a time associated with the actions

End of alarm.........

Pull lanyard - 1 second (illustration)

Pull and release knob - 0.5 seconds. (Illustration shows switch actuation)

Wait 5-10 seconds.......

Pull and release knob again - 0.5 seconds (Illustration shows switch actuation)

The illustration suggests you hold the switch 0.5 second before releasing?

I was finally able to reset the oil light , counting 1001 , 1002..... etc. both times i pulled the button on the 6 second mark . Very sensitive system , glad it only happens every 100 hours .

Write notes for yourself, or take a little phone video and put it on youtube for yourself. 100 hours from now you'll probably be trying to remember what you did. ;)
