Just wanted to say "see ya" to all my friends. I am headed to the coast for a week to to nothing but boat, sun and fish. No work or computers, I am not turning my cell phone on except to call SeaTow if necessary. Thanks to all the help I have gotten here, the little boat is running and looking the best she has since we woke her up after a 7 year sleep just 4 years ago. It has been a long process, but she is ready to go!<br /><br />I will check back in later in the month.<br />Happy, safe and prudent boating to all.<br /><br />Ken

Whatd'ya know, Ken, I'm on vacation too. I hit the river this mornin and had a blast. Monday, I'm off to Boca Grande Pass in the "3rd Mortgage".<br />Enjoy, my friend. And catch a gob o monsters

Hope you both have remember-forever days. Just got back from LOTW with my 30-year fishing buddy, JB Jr. He set a lifes-best on muskies (44") and I lost, at boatside, a lifes-best tiger musky (45-50" class) but, ya know, I care not. Fishing LOTW is too great an experience to fret about details.<br /><br />Red sky.<br />JB

I'm whooped. But I had fun. I didn't know that there would be a fishin tourney in Boca Pass, but fought the mob anyway, and got a 40lb tarpon up to the boat. I cut the line,as I could not get it to quit thrashin long enough to remove it. He beat me to death, but it was a hoot!!!

12footer,<br /><br />Sorry, I didn't see you. But I know what to look for next time!<br /><br />Ed Walker hooked a 208 lb'er at 10:28 Sunday Morning. Rules state he had to get the Tarpon to the weigh-in station by 11:00. He made it by only a few minutes! I saw him come in, came roaring in, throttles pegged.<br />Awesome sight!<br /><br />The 2nd place came in at 174 at believe.<br /><br />I guess that qualifies your 39er as "Bait"

Just to let everyone know, we had a great time, but we took all six kids, so my fishing was limited. I didn't get a chance to run way off for dolphin, you may remember that funny low that meandered up the coast last week. But I took the kids Spanish and King Mackeral fishing and we got some nice spanish and smallish Kings. It was great to be on the water. I made the run up to Cape Lookout to camp with my boys and a friend and his boys. Beautiful spot, but the wind died and made us sitting ducks for the bugs. The boat ran great all week, with the exception of some spitting and sputtering about three miles from the inlet at the Cape on the way up. I drained some water out of the separator and off again we went with no further problems. I guess my luck was due to the fact that I flagged down the Sea Tow guy early in the week and signed up on the spot.<br /><br />My wife and I are going back this coming weekend without the kids and maybe we can get out a little further for "some bigger ones". <br /><br />All in all, it was a great week!

Parenthood is wonderful when your offspring are growing up, and some unforgettable adventures come your way.<br /><br />Just wait until they are all grown and shepherding their own broods for your pleasure. No problem, JB, I kind of figured that. <br />I will be heading back for some boating fun this weekend with just the wife, and leaving the kinds with their grandparents. Best of both worlds, all in a two week span!<br /><br />
