TN to MI

Any body know how to go from Tellico Lake to Lake Michigan? Anyone have any info as to how long it would take or what kind of boat it would take?

I imagine you would have to head south on TN river and somehow make it over to the Miss. river. Head north on the Miss. onto the Illinois river thru the shipping canal and into lake Michigan. That is a long trip.

I have been looking into it just to kill the curiousity. It would take a few days im guessing.
