timing issues

i ahve a 85 115 rude vro and please drop a few lines that will tell me if ihave a timing problem. thanx for any help.

You may have a timing problem if you always arrive late to places.<br />Also if your engine consumes too much fuel, rattles or doesn't want to idle, makes explotions or kicks backwards when starting. Does not develope full power or acceleration is poor.<br />Cheers

well it backs fires alot when trying to start and its so hard to start wen i launch it in the lake. takes me at least 10 minutes to start it.

after it starts it hard to take off with out it dying but once it warms upo it will start fine and run fine but takes awhile for it ti plane i have a planing fin but it rides with the nose in the air for a good while then it will plane out but to me it takes a while for it toplane.

It sounds like you have a cylinder not performing. Maybe a loose coil or plug wire.

i did a compression test and all cylinder are 125 plus, so i dunno what the problem is

Compression is only 1/3 of the equation. Spark and a good fuel supply count just as much. After running it for awhile shut it down and pull the plugs. If one looks obviously different that is your problem cylinder. If it is not as wet with fuel it is either a plugged carb jet or stuck reeds. If it is soaked you are not getting good spark.
