Thermostat hose to flush impeller pieces

I have a 1998 2.3l omc cobra that say i need to back flush system after impeller change. where is the thermostat hose that i flush. i am new to this and trying to learn. also when i change the impeller what do i put on the gaskets, some kind of luge or what. so how do you back flush.<br /><br />thanks for all the help

You first need to get a owners manual, it will show you how you need to do this. Your question covers way more than a simple answer cam provide

Why do u want to back flush it? Just change the impeller & be done with it. If u need the seal u will have to order the water pump repair kit. NAPA will order if for u & probably have it the next day.
