I cant believe it still moved after having the trans under water that long.

...yeah we all had a quite a bit of fun that day, although (4) Canadians couldn't make it due to hockey practice.
Although, I'll never understand why anyone would even think about trying to use a Ford to tow, or launch any boat...let alone try to save it?

That's gotta be hell on those trucks launching in the ocean like that. If I were that guy I would sell the explorer as soon as I got home before it turned into a mile of rust.

Take it from a guy who lives in "Katrinaland," the rust will be only a part of the problem with the car. If the water got into the dash, the electrical system is toast!

it just gets better and better!

Even the tractor got bogged down.

Apparently there is a drop off that the Explorer went down

can't imagin all that sandy water bathing the brakes. No way that would be going on in salt water

Looked like the explorer ultimately drove out on its own power. How did he get it started without sucking the water back in? Unless it was idling the whole time. I did see his lights come on once.

That is Lake Huron and not the ocean.
Sad thing is that there are a gazillion ramps that could have been used around the area for a nominal fee !!!
