temperature sending unit

Hey, , I have a 1978 88 hp envingrude,,, I cannot get my temperature gauge working, , I have replaced the guage and now i have to replace the sender ( gauge didnt fix problem)..The sender seems to be external oand is bolted on by a bracket..where can i get a new one or what kind is it???? I can seem find this style unit on line?? thanks

The sender has to match the gauge. Senders need both electric and thermal contact to work properly.
