Temp gauge issue

i HAVE 2 TELEFLEX LIDO OUTBOARD TEMO GAUGES/ SENDERS ON MY EVINRUDE 225,,BOTH GAUGES ( ONE ON EACH HEAD) ARE WIred exactly the same..the gauge on the starboard side of the motor/dash elevates its reading as the throttle is advanced and the rpms increase....as i decrease throttle the needle lowers again....just on one gauge...any ideas...i have check the grounds and all connections

So you only get a reading from one head? On Merc V6 motors one sender is an overheat sensor (think idiot light) that grounds when it detects overheat and sounds the alarm. The other sensor is a variable resistor which can control a gauge. Maybe Johnny has the same setup.

If you have the senders that came with the gauges, perhaps one is not grounded to the block properly.
