Had the family at a restaurant in Edgewater, NJ (between GWB and Staten Island) overlooking the Hudson river. Warm breezy day, very nice weather. The river was very smooth and I was surprised that in two hours of water watching, only two power boats (one was coast guard - about 20ft), one sailboat, and two tugs went by.

If I lived near that river, you wouldn't be able to get me off. Wonder why the boats weren't out?
