Im traveling to another state this weekend to check out a boat my father saw and raved about--1988 Stury Cudy Cabin 18ft.(looks like a mini-cabin cruiser) Im new to boating and my Q is this... Does anyone out there own this Make boat? Out of the 4700+ boats for sale in IBOATS, there is only one for sale. Hmm.. wondering if this is a good or bad thing?

Any reply helpful, do i want to travel 200 miles to check it out? Thanks

Re: STURY??

I believe the name actually has an 'e' in it. Something like Steury (correct spelling - confirmed on nadaguides..). I have only seen old runabouts by them. But if you search wiht the correct spelling You may find more..

. Seems odd, still wondering if the lack of Steury boats being sold is a good thing or not. I'd appreciate any info if anyone knows if this make has a good rep. behind it or not. Thanks--Leaving at 5am

Re: STURY??

I own a Steury 15 ft runabout / bowrider. Fine little boat with what appears to be solid construction and I can't complain. Mine is a 1978 hull with a 78 Johnson.

Re: STURY??

HEY!!! I'm not the only one with a STEURY! I have a 1979 17' steury. I love the boat! Very well built and it is a heavy boat. I have a few problems with the motor(mercruiser 120) but that has nothing to do with the boat. I think you may have the year mixed up though because Steury was bought out by Cris Craft around 1981. That's why you don't see many of them, they're old boats. There's a few here around Lake Erie and the few people that I've talked to all loved their Steury. Go ahead, take a look at it.

I just realized that this discussion was posted days ago. Well, did you look at the boat?
