Steering problem i've not yet heard about.

I have had stiff steering for a while now. This weekend I finally bought a new rotary system and cable. I began to put it on and I realized that the problem wasn't my steering cable or the pivot shaft on the motor. It turned out that the hole where the cable exits the transom and goes into the transom mount no longer lined up. The motor has apparantly shifted down about an inch over time making it hard for the tube at the end of the cable to move in and out easily.<br /><br />Just thought I would inform everyone about a problem i've never heard of before.
