Greetings all. I am in the process of rewiring an old 59 35hp Lark. I bought one switch from a local place then realized that I need a magneto type. I ordered one from here at iboats but I think I picked the wrong one. The one I got only has one M terminal, and my diagram for the motor needs 2. I purchased this http://www.iboats.com/3-Position-Ignition-Switch-Magneto-Style-SeaDog-Line/dm/view_id.197467 . Will it work or am I going to have to return it for a different one?

I suppose asking which one was right in the first place would have been the way to go......

thanks for any advice.

According to the Q&A, that one should work. Are you sure there is only one M? Perhaps one of them is marked G (?). That would comply with newer motors, as well as your old one.

There is a GRD terminal. Would that be the second M?

Yes, that's it. On newer motors, one of the "M" terminals is grounded. Thus the new marking. Switch is good to go.
