Hello everyone. I have a 1997 Chris Craft Concept 25. When I start the boat I have no issues, fires right up and no problems. I shift it forward and I get out on the water for a good time. However, after running the boat, I shift back into neutral and then I hear a grinding sound that sounds like the starter is engaging. As soon as I shift out of neutral, the sound goes away, shift back into neutral, the grinding sound comes back. Keep in mind the engine is already running the whole time that this is going on. As I pulled back into the Marina today, the two hands that helped me moor to the pier heard it and immediately said that it sounds like the starter is engaging. So, I am coming to the community to see if anyone has any experience with this issue and what I can do to remedy the problem. Please let me know if I need to provide any additional information. Thanks for taking a look and lending a helping hand.
