Starcraft Hull numbers ?

I was reading some where that the earlier 60 and early 70's starcraft boat had a different Hull tag/ number then the later ones ??

Where were these located??? and does anyone have any more information on this??

just registered mine the number is on the back right side looking at back.1973 and newer have 12 digits. in Ohio older have less i think and need a new number from maker or get reinspected by water craft div. for new number. hope that helps

I knew there was less numbers on the earlier Boats But couldn't remember how many, The tags are on the right side of the boats looking forward from the back on the newer ones also But where were the tags on the older Boats??
