Starcraft American 18 connection scheme

hi there,

my boat was built in 1979 (inboard Mercury il6 165) and i migth have to change the ignition lock because it does not work properly anymore. And the alarm buzzer (oil) that rattles. Does anyone have experience in that. What make and type does fit? For the alarm buzzer I d rather have one, that makes ,beep,.

Ignition Switch is 3 wires, B=BAT (from breaker push button switch on engine), I=IGN, For the engine to run in the RUN Position, S=Start supplies 12v to Starter Solenoid.

If the alarm buzzer has 2 wires, you may be able to use a "Piezo Tweeter" from Radio Shack.

Wiring diagrams can be viewed by downloading the Mercruiser manual from another section on this forum ( i think)
