Starcraft 67-71? Falcons convert to open hull

Hey all! Great site! Thanks for having me.
I Started tearing apart an old Falcons my dad had sitting out back. Converting it to open bow w a casting deck.
its going to be a camp boat so trying to get it in good working order but not break the bank.
will try to keep updating as I go.

Easy, so when you have your pics open in imagur, right click, copy image address then paste the link into the insert image line.

Man you are not wasting any time on this project. Already have the old deck out, front cut to size, and new transom in. At this rate you will be on the water by next week!!!

hopin to pretty much finish tomorrow
painted the floor and added cross braces from aluminum channel.
water treated the wood. Going to put tuff coat on top.
building a casting deck w a couple hatches and cooler/storage box

What did you use to secure the deck to the stringers?

I rivited the stringers to the center support and to the ribs. I rivited the floor to the center support.
it was originally rivited to every rib on the edges but i didnt bother

Nice, rivet are the way to go. As for the edges, it is a good idea as it helps add additional structural durability to the hull.

Yep ^^^ and having side panels below the gunwale that are also riveted to the deck does too....
