I hope this will become a sticky :)

What Plug should I get for my QD21 and for my 40ES70A ?

would love to have this done up so its easy to for people to find the plugs they need

QD-21 10hp 1960

Champion J4J
A-21X
ACM-42K

of course, that is from a 50 year old book...

40ES70 / 40ESL70 40hp 1970

SPARK PLUG, Champion J4J
SPARK PLUG, AC M42K

(that books only 40!)

From the latest recommendations

Champion J4C for both .. gapped at 0.030"

Why do think those two particular engines from the many that have been made merit their plug types being made into a "sticky"

so the plug for my 10hp and 40 hp are the same ? cool saves me time and money .. can keep one spare set on the wall then :)

Not just my motors .. but a list of all motors .. I just have those 2 off the top of my head ..

Should have added the QD-15 in there also .. forgot about that motor

Currently recommended for QD-15 Champion J6C. ( originally J6J)

Interesting that this one uses a hotter plug than the QD 21.
Due to different fuel mix perhaps!

Just noticed that you are in Canada ... gaps there are 0.7 - 0.8 mm I think ;)

( as they would also be in Peterborough, UK )

thats funny I grew up when we where switching .. also being a millwright I still use the good old imp. system .. for a lot of things
