Anyone have any secrets to help eliminate your sonar unit from tracking the downrigger weights. On calm water I see both weights on the screen and on windy days I see one or the other depending on the direction I am headed in relation to the the wind direction.

Won't happen...unless you change the sonar sensitivity.....but then you won't see the fish!;)

See you on the lake

If your depth range is set to "auto" change it to "manual" and select the depth range you want.

Why do you not want to see the weights?

Seeing the weights is not the problem. Its the constant fish alarm going off while its reading them.

I know on mine I can turn the alarm off - of course, then it won't go off when fish are there either. Have to keep your eyes on it.

Just turn the stupid alarm off. As you already know, it's doesn't know the difference between a piece of metal and a fish if the fish introduced itself

Like he said, plus I don't know anybody that uses a fish alarm feature.
