What are the benefits/drawbacks of a Bravo one with a single prop vs a Bravo one double prop. (One motor, single or doubled up prop on outdrive) Does the double prop eat more horsepower? Why would I pick one over the other for a new boat application. The motor would be the 6.2 Mercury, 320HP.

Re: Single vs Double Prop

The dual prop set up will cancel torque developed by a single prop. Thie single prop torque tends to make the boat pull to one side and walk to one side at idle speeds.

The dual props are a dream to handle over the single.

The duals also hold a better bite in trimmed high and turn conditions. If you can afford the Bravo III, go for it.
