Shower Drain Problem

I have a 1996 Larson cabrio 280. I replaced the bilge pump in the bottom of the shower. This pump pumps the shower water to a shower sump thaat is located under the aft bed. When the water level in the sump rises, it is pumped overboard. The system worked fine as long as the bilge pump in the shower itself was on. Once it shuts off, several gallons of water backflowed into the shower again. I have a feeling that the shower sump under the aft bed is higher than the pump in the shower. Any ideas???

Re: Shower Drain Problem

That's what it sounds like if your shower also has a pump. Mine is gravity flow to the shower sump.
