Not a problem at all, just run some seafoam through it, that's what everyone seems to think fixes all engine problems.

Were there more than just the one piston in the pan?

:DGee, I'm really happy to hear that. I just bought a can this evening and have yet to use it.

Remove one from the other side so the engine maintains balance if it was a 350, and if it was just think of the fuel saving benefits because you will now have a 4.3L

Good thing you got the piston out of the pan....it could have blocked the oil pickup and did some real damage!

Re: should i be concerned

Ok I got the sea foam the mmo the jb weld and engine restore non of these awesome products helped. In all seriousness will the 3.0 run 180 out enough that i can get to motor down the lake but pinging like hell. I know i should have stopped as soon as the pinging started but i didnt. I expected more power had to get my 20 yr old son to sit in the bow of the boat to get on plane. It is a 17 ft run about thought a fresh new motor should be stronger than that. Just trying to get an idea what i screwed up so i dont repeat this mishap
