Hey I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend a good place to go on the Susquehannah that you can fish from the shore. My nephews live in the Peach Bottom area and I want to go somewhere not too far away and take them fishing. I dont think I'll be taking my boat so I'd like to find some place that has half decent access from the shore. Are there any piers out in the water any where or any place that has nice access against the water...boardwalk or??
I know of a few places in MD that would work but I'd prefer sticking to something in PA. Otherwise I have to go buy myself non-resident fishing license which isnt cheap.
Any suggestions anyone? I'm open to suggestions on either side of the river but the east side would be the best. Or maybe you know of somewhere besides the river that has decent fishing? I just want to take them somewhere and give them a half decent chance of catching something and having fun. The boys are like 7 and 5 - or something like that.
