I need help adjusting the trottle and shift<br />cables to my 1989 28hp Evinrude. Forward and Reverse seem to shift into gear fine. When accelerating the forward control travels 90<br />degrees before the engine begins to throttle up and then works fine from there. The motor will go into reverse and idle but with throttle all the way back the motor will only<br />idle. The adjustment where the cables attach to the motor are made with a star type wheel <br />that shortens or lengthens the cables. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
