boat is a 1999 larson escape 233 volvo penta 5.0gi sx-m outdrive
not to sound biased, but on the automotive version of this ignition system, you remove the pin c wire (ignition bypass) from the 4 wire ignition module and the engine will lower speed and you can set base timing, i have read a lot of different posts, and it pretty much boils down to needing volvos shunt, which goes inline with the connector and you connect to power, is there a shortcut? can i do as i would on the automotive version and remove wire from ignition module to put into base timing mode?
Here is the skippy on what i am doing, bad winterizing on my part, so i am installing a long block, going to be installing this week. expensive mistake, definately wont do that again
