Hi new to the site am trying to identify my seahorse

numbers i can find are on shaft 1156805 found on circular disck top of sharft
carbie MORCO spark plug lead is mark KEA 7172 J Germany
another mark is on head is speed i know it is a 2 stroke has a
compression of 70 psi any information would be greatful

Can you post a picture or give us a detailed description so we can narrow it down for you?

Look for an ID tag on the transom bracket. That should have the model and serial numbers.

I don't know where you got that number 1156805, but if it came off a round disc it is the serial number. Serial number 1156805 is a 1954. No clue as to what horsepower. As said, the "real" model and serial number is on the ID tag on the boat bracket.

Yes i did find that number on the round disk at the base have post some pictures of outboard i was told it a 2.2 hp what do you think ?

We are whistleing in the wind here. That's no Sea Horse. At least it is not a Johnson Sea Horse as we all assumed. I don't have a clue what it really is, some kind of foreign thing, I assume.

"damn" i am posting from australia does that make a difference when i brought it along with another outboard the previous owner told me it was a seahorse i myself have no idea but it still run's i just have to work out a way of reattaching the brass nut to the gal fuel tank for the fuel bowl

Sure looks like a Seagull to me. Lots of them around where you are. Parts are easy to get, probably easier there than here.

Search for Seagull Outboards on Google. You'll find several sites with forums, and I'm sure you'll get good help at one of them.
