Does anyone have advice on buying a 2001 or 2002 Sea Ray Sundancer 340 or 380? Thinking about buying one in this range but not sure if I should opt out for a used model. Also not sure if this is the best bet in this size/feature range. Any and all suggestions very welcome.

Buying a new boat has its advantages and disadvantages.
New is new and no one has used it and you can order it the way you want, colors, options etc.
But you will take the biggest hit on depreciation. You also have to accessorize it and work out the new boat bugs. There are a lot of expenses when buying a new boat too.
I would search on all the main boat for sale sites and price 340 & 380 Sundancers from about 1995 and up to get a price comparison.
There is a big difference between a 340 & a 380, in size and price. You may be able to buy a 2 to 4 year old 380 for the same or less than a new 340.
The decision is then up to you.
Most boat manufactures have web sites and you should go to some new boat shows and get on board as many similar boats as possible to do your comparisons. There are a lot of very nice boats in this size range and only you can decide which ones best suit you.
Good luck.
