Hey gang! I am all ready to put my lower unit back together today. Wondering what the cure time is for the scotch grip 847? I'd like to pressure test and test run the motor tonight if possible.. If not, I'd still like to take her to the lake tomorrow morning for a 'sea trial'. I'll only be out there for maybe half hour.

What say you? There is no cure time info on the tube.

Thanks!

It starts to dry just about immediately. In fact you have to be right on the ball or it will get ahead of you. For complete cure once assembled, I dunno. Frankly, I've never waited on it, just filled it with oil and ready to go. You might want to give it a couple of hours before subjecting it to a pressure test though, jut to be on the safe side.

Cool. That's what i wanted to hear! Most things I've read don't talk about any wait time. I'll give it several hours and not another thought. Thanks!

You have about a nanosecond or it is dried on your hands! A few hours to pressure test is more than enough, should be good to go.
