I got my first transom holes patched today, epoxied in dowels, then did a little sanding to remove some of the smootch on the transom (don't ask) and wiped with Acetone. Then mixed and spread it on...
I'll leave it until tomorrow but I need to sand it back down, I don't want to thin the glass so is it ok to use an orbital with 120 grit in it to get it smooth? I don't want to remove the gel coat either but the boats had repairs over the years and I had to patch a couple of spots here and there...
This is my first time working on glass and don't want to screw it up
When I'm all done I'm going to paint the back of the transom so it will look decent again, wondering what to use below the water line...
