Does anyone have any experience with sandbag mooring kits. I added a pontoon to the fleet recently that will stay in a slip this season and want a inexpensive, easy way to keep the universal cover on that I picked up.

Looks easy, but I want to know if they work well engough to keep water from pooling. I'll be adding vents and poles to the center of the cover.

I am sure the sand bags would work. You could also use 1 gallon water jugs. Just fill them with water and tie them on. Then just empty them to make cover removal easier.

why not have one with snaps made

After reupholstering the entire boat interior I'm getting tired of looking at the sewing machine, this boat honestly isn't worth a custom snap cover. If I can't think of a better idea than the sandbags then Individual seat covers might be best route. Those should go together quick. I'd rather find a good option for the universal cover I have.
