Do you call a storage lot for fully rigged (less sails) trailered sailboats a dry sailing basin? Storage lots that you can access the launch ramp without putting down your mast.

Most places in this area are only setup for boats less than 4000# that are crane launched due to the problems with tides and ramps

In my neck of the woods they are called marinas. Most full service marinas have slips, trailer & boat storage, a ramp or 2, travel lifts or forklifts for launching power or sailboats. One designs that race often are stored dry on cradles and put in by forklifts.

Can't say I've ever seen a place that catered only to trailered sailboats.

Re: sailboat storage

Your question is totally valid. Where I grew up (Madeira Beach, FL), pretty much all the marinas had ramps of their own, and most had a yard or lot where you could store a sailboat, mast up. When I moved to St. Augustine, I was shocked to find that there are no marinas with that option here.

Re: sailboat storage

You should be able to store it in a parking lot at any storage unit for about 50$ a month
