The sails on my little Petrel dinghy are probably 30 years old and the sail numbers, Petrel insignia, etc are starting to peel off.

Any suggestions on a good adhesive that will stand up to the elements and remain flexible?

I used this stuff to put a clear in my boys' Heron dacron headsail then oversewed the edges for added security. http://www.selleys.com.au/Selleys-Gel-Grip/default.aspx

It'd be perfect for numbers...

Thanks, Triton - that looks like good stuff. I'll see if they have a Canadian distributor. Nice boat, by the way!

You're welcome. Yes, Kotuku (the Maori word for Heron) is a lovely little thing - fast for a Heron and great fun even in a big blow. Pity the boys have outgrown her - now into International 420s! :D
